It is the typical flavor of a ripe Empeltre olive and totally different than "Primicia" young Empeltre variety that Reales Almazaras de Alcañiz has innovatively produced. If you really would like to be astonished about tasting how enormously different two olive oils can taste despite being produced with the same variety of olive, choose both this Empeltre e.v.o.- "Caracter" and also Empeltre e.v.o. -"Primicia". Ideal oil to use when you want your olive oil to be the unnoticeable flavor in your dish. This selection will never overpower your dish with intense extra virgin olive oil flavors. It is a great oil to use for baking. We also like to use it to pour over cheese or even to marinate our boquerones.
