Gadus Morhua salt cured bacalao individualy wild caught in the deep cold ocean of the Faroe Islands close to Iceland. Giraldo Bacalao is ready to use with no need to previously soak to desalt.

How to Enjoy:

 Bacalao Giraldo has undergone a meticulous curing process in wet sea salt for a minimum of 3 months and then has been carefully desalted for your convenience.

 It is safe to be eaten raw in very thin flakes to be added on salads, in sushi, or sliced as a carpaccio with a finishing drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice.

 When cooking this delicacy TEMPERATURE control is the key factor.  Internal temperature of Bacalao Giraldo should never exceed 140˚ F.  Excessive exposure to heat will destroy the natural nutritious gelatin in this product.

 If recipes call for frying or oven heating at a high temperature minimize cooking time.

It is a shame this product has so often been misrepresented on the market. Taste the difference in quality of Bacalao Giraldo. Expect to enjoy a juicy, flavorful fish.
