Montenebro (Goat)

Montenebro- Queso del Tietar

Made from pasteurized goat's milk and aged for 2months. It is covered with a very particular dark ash rind. Its interior is very compact and bright white. Only one producer makes this cheese in Avila.

Origin: Castilla-Leon

Tasting Notes: This cheese is truly a treat. It has a complex lightly acidic blend of flavors with a creamy very slight salty finish that leaves a perfect balance of flavor on the palate. If you enjoy Montenebro you should also try Caña de Cabra.
