Majorero

Made with goat's milk on the island of Fuerteventuras. There are two versions that are most readily available in Spain. Plain or with and exterior that is rubbed with pimenton (paprika). It is a difficult cheese to find precisely because of the extra manipulation and travel that has to be made in order to get it from the island to the mainland and in turn into the United States.

Origin: Canary Islands (Fuerteventura)

Tasting Notes: Well balanced intese goat cheese that is slightly tart and a bit piquant in the finish.
