Torta del Casar D.O. Raw Milk


Made with raw sheep’s milk and cured for 3 months. Torta del Casar is made with rennet of thistle flowers.

Origin: Extremadura


Tasting Notes: This is a soft unctuous cheese with strong persistent flavors and aromas. At its prime it has a buttery soft flavor with slightly acid and bitter notes. An absolute delicacy for the true cheese lover. Torta del Casar although similar to Queso de La Serena, is slightly stronger in flavor and a little softer in texture as well.

Serving suggestion: Cut around the top surface of the cheese in order to lift it as a cover and be able to scoop out the interior.
